Alexandra Issacovitch: I have an extensive career spanning almost 30 years in communications, covering international organisations and public affairs. I hold a Law degree, complemented by a master’s in international relations and an M.Phil. in Russian and East European Studies from the University of Oxford. I worked for the UN for 11 years and, since 2004, have served as an Adviser at the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In parallel, I participated as an election observer for the OSCE and the EU in the South Caucasus, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Russia, Cambodia and Zambia. I worked at the EU Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in Georgia (2008–2009), where I served as Press and Public Information Officer (PPIO), periodically acting as Head of the PPIO Office and Spokesperson. I subsequently acted as focal point for the World Microcredit Summit at the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) from 2010 to 2012. I combined field assignments with research, consultancy and teaching activities, delivering lectures at Spanish universities and publishing articles, papers and books on international affairs. Currently advisor at a leading Spanish infrastructure energy company.
